Teamster in the 18th Regiment of Connecticut Infantry writes that men who were cowards in the battle of New Market, Va., were demoted and those who were brave appointed in their places; the soldiers are stealing horses and killing hogs and cattle; comments on General Hunter's attitude toward African-Americans.
